About Me
I am Elliot in 9th grade taking Intro to Engineering and Design honors for the spring (2nd) semester at South Western High School. Intro to Engineering and Design is a really challenging class that prepares you for the real world by helping shift you into the right work mind set. There are many useful skills that can be learned here to improve your future life especially in communication and design.
More specifically, in Intro to Engineering and Design we complete projects using the engineering design process and what we've learned in lessons and activity's throughout the duration of the project.

Why I Joined
I joined because I was planning to take a lot of the more challenging classes. At first I did not know exactly why until I discussed my future plans with my counselor at South Western High School. I told him I wanted to be a theoretical physicist. He knew that in order to be a theoretical physicist I needed to take advanced placement classes in physics and other related classes. He recommended different classes that I would have room for in my four years at SWHS. I was surprised he recommended so many AP classes, but then I thought more deeply about what I had done this year and what my grades were and the classes I took. I started to realize that the work I had done this year is a decent prediction of what will happen next year, but only if I continue to keep up my effort. Intro to engineering has helped me learn how to keep up that effort.
